KharchaOS Terms
These app-specific terms apply to your use of the KharchaOS app and supplement our company-wide Singnet Terms of Service. Where they conflict, the terms below govern for KharchaOS.
1. What KharchaOS is
KharchaOS is a personal record-keeping tool for expenses, income, budgets, shared group costs, and money lent or borrowed between people. Summaries, budgets, balances and reports are provided for your convenience and are not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter.
2. No banking connection and no payments
The app does not connect to your bank, UPI, card, or any payment provider, and it never initiates, holds, transfers, or settles money. A “payment source” and its balance are figures you type in. Marking a loan repaid or a group settled records that you say it happened — no money moves through KharchaOS. Any actual payment happens outside the app, between you and the other person.
3. Loans and shared expenses are records, not agreements
Singnet is not a lender, borrower, guarantor, escrow agent, collection agency, or party to anything you record. A loan or split in the app is a note the two of you keep; it does not by itself create, prove, modify, or discharge any legal obligation between you, and confirming a request in the app is not a legal acknowledgement of debt. Disputes about money owed are between you and the other person to resolve.
4. Other people's information
When you add a person, join a group, or record a loan, you are entering information about someone else. Add only what is accurate and what you have a legitimate reason to store, and expect that details you record about a shared transaction will be visible to the other people it involves — as described in the Privacy Notice. Do not use the app to harass someone, to pressure them over money, or to store information about people who have no connection to your records.
5. Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself; activity under your account is treated as yours. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and at least 13, to use KharchaOS.
6. Availability and your data
The service is provided as-is and may change or be interrupted. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. You may delete your account at any time — see Delete your account.
7. Acceptable use, IP, disclaimers & liability
These apply across all Singnet products and are set out in the company Terms of Service, including acceptable use, intellectual property, suspension and termination, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
