Dukanly Privacy Notice

Last updated: 1 October 2026  ·  Effective: 1 October 2026

This notice describes what the Dukanly Android app collects, why, and who it is shared with. It supplements our company-wide Singnet Privacy Policy, which covers security, your rights, retention, international transfers and contact details — please read both together.

Dukanly is billing software for a shop. It records what you sell, your stock, your GST invoices, and the credit (udhaar) your customers owe you. Most of what it holds is your business's own records — but the udhaar book contains details about other people, and that part deserves its own section. It is below, and it is the most important thing on this page.

Summary: Your shop's records are yours. We never sell them, and Dukanly shows no advertising at all. The app does not connect to your bank, read your SMS, use your location, or access your phone's contact list — customer details are ones you type in yourself. The only permission the app requests is internet access.

Your customers' details — please read

When you add a customer to the udhaar book, you are entering another person's name and mobile number into our system. That is different from everything else in the app, and two things follow from it.

Those details are theirs, not ours. We store them only so your credit book works. We do not contact your customers, do not market to them, do not sell their details, and do not use them for any purpose of our own. We have no relationship with them — you do.

You are the one who collected them. Under Indian data protection law the shop that enters a customer's details is responsible for having a reason to hold them, for keeping them accurate, and for removing them when they are no longer needed. In practice: add a customer's number because you need it for the khata, tell them you are keeping it if they ask, and delete the record once the account is settled and you no longer need it. We give you the means to delete; the judgement is yours.

If one of your customers asks us directly to remove their details, we will refer them to you, because the record is in your shop's book and only you can decide whether it is still needed.

Reminders you send

If you send a payment reminder to a customer, the message leaves your phone through whatever app you choose to send it with — WhatsApp or SMS — and from that point it is handled by that app and its provider under their own terms, not ours. We do not send messages to your customers on your behalf, and we do not pass their numbers to any messaging service ourselves.

What Dukanly does not do

Who we share with

Only the suppliers that run the service, and only as far as each needs:

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Invoices and tax records

A GST tax invoice is a legal document, and Indian tax law requires invoices to be retained — currently for several years from the end of the relevant financial year. Bills therefore are not deleted on request the way other records are; they are kept for as long as the law requires and then removed. The rest of your data follows the retention periods in the company Privacy Policy.

Children

Dukanly is a business tool, is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Security, your rights, retention & contact

These apply across all Singnet products and are described in the company Privacy Policy. To exercise your rights or request deletion, email support@mail.singnet.in — or see how to delete your account.

One consequence of running a shop with other people is worth stating plainly: if you delete your account, records belonging to a shop you do not own — bills raised by another owner, or a khata kept on their shop — remain theirs and are not deleted with yours.
