Terms of Service

1. Using Verses

Verses is a curated home for Hindi and Urdu poetry. Reading is free and requires no account. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to disrupt, scrape at scale, or attempt to breach the security of the platform.

2. Editor (poet) accounts and content

To publish poetry you register as an Editor using your Singnet account. You are responsible for the poems, titles, and tags you submit, and you confirm that the work is your own original creation (or that you hold the rights to publish it). You must not submit content that infringes copyright, is unlawful, hateful, or plagiarised.

3. Ownership and licence

You keep ownership of everything you publish. By submitting work you grant Verses a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, format, and promote it on the platform. You may request removal of your work at any time (see Contact).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: impersonate another poet, upload content you do not have the rights to, post spam or advertising, or interfere with other readers' or editors' use of the site. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms.

5. Advertising

Verses is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Your use of the site is subject to our Privacy Notice, which explains how cookies and third-party advertising work.

6. Disclaimer and liability

Verses is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Views expressed in published poems are those of their authors, not of Singnet.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Verses after an update means you accept the revised terms.
